| Mechanism of Action | SNARE Complex Destabilization: Snap-8 mimics the N-terminal of SNAP-25 and competes for a position in the SNARE complex. This destabilizes the complex, preventing the vesicle from releasing neurotransmitters effectively. Inhibition of Glutamate Release: By interfering with the SNARE complex, it significantly reduces the release of glutamate (a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction).
