PT-141

$74.00 / 10 Vials

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic peptide analog of α -MSH and a non-selective agonist of the melanocortin receptors. Unlike traditional phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors that target the vascular system, PT-141 works directly through the central nervous system to stimulate sexual desire and arousal. It is widely utilized in clinical research for treating Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) and erectile dysfunction, offering a unique mechanism for cases that are unresponsive to conventional treatments.

Mechanism of Action

Central Nervous System Activation: PT-141 binds to and activates Melanocortin Receptors (primarily MC3R and MC4R) in the hypothalamus, a region of the brain involved in sexual response and motivation.

Independent of Blood Flow: Because its primary site of action is the brain, it can trigger arousal and desire even when local blood flow issues (which PDE5 inhibitors address) are not the primary cause.

Dual-Gender Efficacy: Research models demonstrate increased sexual motivation and "proceptive" behavior in both male and female subjects.

Rapid Onset: It is noted for its relatively fast biological response, typically manifesting within 2 to 4 hours in experimental settings.

Storage & handling

Storage:Store the lyophilized vial in a cool, dry area protected from direct sunlight.
